Terms of Reference for TDEC
1. Function as a standing sub-committee of the UDOEC with one representative selected by each union conference, NAD and HSI. The chair shall be appointed by UDOEC.

2. Research, evaluate, and share applicable issues and trends in educational technology.

3. Facilitate the integration of technology in the educational process through the provision of information, clarification of trends, and identification of training opportunities.

4. Develop Adventist distance education policies and guidelines.
- Authority & Responsibility: Recommend to UDOEC
5. Serve as a resource for distance education course development.

6. Review and approve technology-based courses and programs for compliance with NAD distance education policies and guidelines.

7. Establish financial needs and projections for committee projects and business.
- Authority & Responsibility: Submit to NADOE and UDOEC for funding
8. Develop an appropriate annual calendar of meetings (to be conducted in conjunction with other NAD committees/workshops whenever possible) to facilitate the work of the committee.

9. Share minutes, policies, recommendations, etc., with NADOE and UDOEC.

10. Maintain a web site dedicated to education technology issues as a service to teachers and administration.

11. Serve for three-year terms with 1/3 of membership rotating annually. Rotation will be alphabetically by union name. Representatives may be reappointed.
