Madison Campus Elementary Animations
[January 2009] "We’ve finally gotten some finished (or mostly finished) animations by our 3rd grade computer class. If you’re interested in viewing them, try this link or navigate to Computer -> Pivot Movies page from www.mcesda.org. Wouldn’t it be great to use this as a tool to help teachers integrate technology into their curriculum? A great way for kids to express themselves. They love seeing their animations on the big screen in front of the whole class. Have a great day!" Take a look at the animations.

SUETA Annual Meeting Report
SUETA Annual Meeting Report
[Januray 2008] The Southern Union Educational Technology Association (SUETA) met January 22, 23. The group strives to effect postive change in educational technology through collaboration, networking, and recommending. This year the association refocussed their energy to effect support to our teachers, schools, conferences, and Union. Starting in February the association will hold monthly GoToMeetings on various topics of interest to SUETA members. The first (in late February) will be a report on the Southern Union Education vote on the keyboarding intiative. The schedule will be posted in the next few days at http://www.sueta.org/.
They also hope to finish creating a very usable and current technology plan template for schools.
With a few extra long hours the keyboarding sub-committee has completed their keyboarding skills document. SUETA and TDEC have fielded many calls by teachers asking for guidance in this area. Specifically, teachers have wanted to know how many WPM students should be able to do at each grade level. This document attempts to answer this question and more. Many people have contributed to this document including Georgia-Cumberland’s Keyboarding Committee. The next stop for the document is the Southern Union Education Elementary Advisory before being voted in February at the next full education council. There is even hope by some that the document will eventually be adopted in some form by the North American Division Office of Education.
